Matthew Reese, MA, LPC, NCC
How I Help
I help individuals navigate their challenges by building a therapeutic relationship that provides comfort and safety, allowing you to tell your story at your own pace. Through our work together, I aim to identify patterns in thoughts, feelings, and actions that may be contributing to your struggles. By collaborating, we will explore new approaches and ways of thinking to help you cultivate emotional stability and live in accordance with your identified values.
About Me
Hello, I’m Matthew Reese, a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Georgia with Master of Arts degrees in both Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Addiction Counseling. My diverse background includes careers in restaurant management, technical editing, and over a decade of running my own business in restoring and remodeling historic homes. My journey into therapy was inspired by my personal experiences navigating marriage, children, business, and divorce, and finding solace in therapy. Approaches to Therapy
I use a combination of evidence-based practices, including Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), and Narrative Therapy. My approach focuses on identifying both strengths and struggles, recognizing patterns that cause difficulties, and collaboratively developing new strategies for emotional stability and growth.
